The Workshop on Supporting Survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) is designed to equip counsellors, teachers, health workers, and volunteers with the knowledge and tools needed to provide trauma-informed care to survivors.

Organized by OHEPASA, this training emphasizes empathy, confidentiality, and psychological support as key components of effective survivor assistance. Participants will learn how to respond sensitively to disclosures, manage trauma symptoms, and connect survivors with appropriate referral services.

The workshop will combine expert lectures, interactive sessions, and case-based discussions to deepen understanding of survivor-centered approaches. By strengthening professional capacity, OHEPASA aims to ensure that survivors are treated with respect, compassion, and dignity at every stage of their healing journey.

Theme: “From Awareness to Action: Empowering Care for Survivors.”
Goal: To enhance skills and confidence in supporting survivors of SGBV while promoting a culture of empathy and accountability.
